We are a newly established self-catering cottage in Clarens and have gone the extra mile to make your stay as relaxing as can be.
The Clarens Greenbrier is located on the picturesque kloof side of the village, at the end of a quiet road. Nature walks are just outside the gate and yet the Clarens Square is only a couple of minutes away.
The purpose built contemporary cottage sleeps four, has a log-burning stove, full bouquet TV, luxurious bathroom, underfloor heating, new kitchen and a covered porch with built-in braai...
Situated right on a natural Ouhout grove and little stream, it is not unusual to hear owls at night or see the spoor of buck the next morning.
Clarens is an ideal location for a family reunion, being a mere three to four hours drive from JHB, Bloem or Durban.
Come relax, revive and rejuvenate at the Greenbrier Self Catering Cottage.
The main bedroom is open and airy, has two single beds, new linen, under floor heating and a comfortable feel.
The open plan living area has a log-burning stove, under floor heating, full bouquet TV, views of the mountains and leads onto a covered porch with built-in braai.
The second bedroom is cozy and has two single beds.
The contemporary bathroom has a shower and a luxurious bath, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
Towels are provided.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for a weekend or week away and especially useful on your evening of arrival when most visitors prefer to have a braai on the covered porch using the built-in gas braai.

Clarens
Clarens is a tranquil escape nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by Sandstone cliffs, the Rooiberge and Maluti Mountains. It is 16.9 km from Golden Gate National Park and is a highlight on the Maloti Route in the Eastern Free State of South Africa.
To do
An interesting day can be spent browsing the Art Galleries, Bibliophile bookstore and country shops or take the half-day hiking trail (close to Greenbrier Cottage) that has an almost aerial view of Clarens and stretches to Lesotho. Or simply relax on the covered porch, have a braai and listen to the robins and other sounds from the nearby spruit.
